Phil had never been to a desert environment before so I was keen for him to experience it. It really is a different world; the intense dry heat and deafening silence being just part of it. The bold blue of the sky highlights any glimpse of the clouds even more. The roads are very straight and it seemed that bored some people, who had obviously strived for more adventure on the parallel sand.
